Official says Energy Min stands for added oil income tax extension
MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian Energy Ministry sees it necessary to extend the added income tax in the oil industry, Alexander Gladkov, director of the oil and gas production and transportation department of the ministry, said on Thursday.
"There are many outstanding issues concerning the volume of special features of taxation calculation but in general, I would like to emphasize that we think that the trend of extension of the added income tax, the extension of the deposits that we will include, is the right decision," Gladkov said.
Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov told Reuters in June that the tax was the biggest mistake in his career and that the Russian budget lost 213 billion rubles of income from the tax experiment in 2019.
